Our Process: From Desk to Tile Layout

First conversation at Tornabuoni

Most commissions begin with a €280 desk consultation. Bring photos, rough dimensions, and any condominium restrictions. Elena maps family routines while Luca flags stack and ventilation questions that need a site visit.

If the project fits our scope, we issue a written proposal within three working days with package options from Classified Rates.

Survey day in your flat

The €420 survey includes laser measurements, humidity readings, and photos of adjacent stone fabric. We note door swings, window reveals, and existing drain positions without opening floors.

Owners receive a summary letter in English or Italian before layout work starts.

Layout and material boards

Within three weeks of booking a package, you receive scaled plans, vanity elevations, tile schedules, and mirror/lighting sheets. Samples referenced in the documents can be viewed at the studio by appointment.

Two revision rounds are included; extra rounds are billed at €120 per sheet set.

Contractor handoff

We do not build, but we walk your impresa through the drawings on a shared call. Tile layout day on site is available at €560 per day when you want Elena present during critical installs.

Supplier contacts in San Lorenzo receive SKU lists directly only after you approve purchase.

After completion

Final sign-off triggers the remaining 20% invoice and a maintenance card for grout sealing intervals suited to Florence humidity. Many clients book a seasonal refresh visit eighteen months later when rental wear shows.
